The moment that fans have been waiting for is finally here.

Andrew Garfield made his long-awaited appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s hit show, “Chicken Shop Date.” His Oct. 18 appearance comes after Garfield and Dimoldenberg seemingly flirted with one another at the Golden Globes in January 2023.

While sharing a meal together on “Chicken Shop Date,” Garfield admitted that they did have a “couple of lovely interactions” together in the past. However, Dimoldenberg noted that they haven’t seen each other in a while, teasing the actor for “avoiding her.”

“I’m surprised you’re here,” she said.

“I’m surprised I’m here as well,” Garfield replied.

Later in the conversation, Dimoldenberg joked that their initial encounter was an act of fate. Garfield laughed and the two playfully went back and forth before the actor asked if Dimoldenberg thinks one of guests could go on the date and think “this is it.”

“Yeah, do you not?” she responded, comparing the dates to meeting a significant other at work.

“Yeah, and how many of those relationships work out?” Garfield challenged her.

Garfield, at one point, admitted to flirting with Dimoldenberg and called their two prior interactions “meet cutes.”

The pair then talked about their dating etiquettes and Dimoldenberg said that she’s normally the person who asks someone else out on a date, even if she might get rejected.

“I really appreciate that,” Garfield said. “I think that’s sexy. I think that’s really hot.”

Seemingly taking the conversation more seriously, Garfield and Dimoldenberg discussed whether or not they could actually make a relationship work.

“I think that we — there’s something going on,” Dimoldenberg finally said, to which Garfield asked if she sincerely thought they would go on a date outside of the show.

“Take out all the practicalities and the logic. I actually believe maybe we could’ve, without all of this,” he continued, pointing to the cameras and the set.

Later, Garfield went back to the topic, saying, “I think we’d have a really nice time without the camera.”

In response, Dimoldenberg told Garfield they should “be freinds,” before course correcting. “Did I just friend zone this situation? Ah, I shouldn’t have done that.”

“Unless that’s what you want,” Garfield responded.

“No, I don’t know what I want,” Dimoldenberg said.

The two then agreed that the show date should simply be a “practice round” for the real deal.

“I think we should do it again, actually, and better,” Garfield said of the potential for another date. “This should just be a rehearsal.”

In an interview with TODAY.com, Dimoldenberg talked about the chances of her finding love on her show.

“I have said before, I don’t see why I couldn’t meet someone, like a romantic partner, via the show. Maybe some people might think that is really deluded,” she said. “I think part of me honestly believes, like, I am actually trying to meet someone and fall in love. And I think that genuine feeling is brought through within the show.”
