It didn’t take long for “Squid Game” viewers to point out an editing mistake that was apparently missed during the post-production process.

Season 2 of the hit Netflix series premiered on Dec. 26 and instantly shattered streaming records. Now, many fans are calling attention to a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment from Episode 7 around the 22 minute mark.

In the scene from the season finale, viewers witness a pivotal fight between players and guards. At one point, the camera pans to the side and inadvertently shows a cameraman in the corner who’s capturing the action from another angle.

Many eagle-eyed viewers caught the mistake and took to social media to share clips of the moment.

“Cameraman caught in the crossfire of the contestants and guards,” one X user captioned their post.

Another X user joked that someone “is getting fired from the Squid Games team” after the editing blunder.

Many X users were kicking themselves for not seeing the mistake on their own.

“How did I not notice this when I was watching Squid Game?” one wrote.

Others had a bit of fun with the situation, like the X user who captioned their post, “Why’s bro bringing a camera to a gun fight??”

Another commented, “He was actually part of the scene he just knows the camera man never dies.”

Some social media users went lightly on the editing team, like one who commented, “They probably figured people wouldn’t be looking at the show frame by frame.”

“I thought I saw that, but I was so engaged in the story I didn’t even bother to rewind. Those type of gaffes are common in a lot of movies and TV shows,” another wrote.

Editing mistakes like these come up in TV shows.

“Game of Thrones” fans spotted a coffee cup in one scene in 2019, prompting HBO to acknowledge the editing mistake and correct it. A few weeks later, viewers noticed a plastic water bottle in another scene of the hit series.

“The Last of Us” also accidentally included some production members in a shot during its first season.

TODAY.com has reached out to Netflix for comment. Only time will tell how Netflix responds to the editing gaffe, but one thing’s for sure: Mistakes like this sure are entertaining.
