Shemar Moore and girlfriend Jesiree Dizon announce breakup after 5 years together
Shemar Moore and his girlfriend, Jesiree Dizon, have broken up.
On Jan. 31, Moore took to Instagram to confirm rumors that he and Dizon, who is the mother of his 2-year-old daughter, Frankie, are no longer together after five years.
“So the press release was that me and Jesiree are no longer a couple and we live separately, that we’ve broken up,” he said. “Well, it’s true.”
After asking his fans to be kind amid their breakup, Moore then reflected on his relationship with Dizon going forward.
“Me and Jesiree love each other. That’s not going to change until the day God calls my name. Ain’t going to change,” he said. “She’s wonderful in so many ways. Yes, we have our differences, but we’re going to love each other and we’re going to love the hell out of our daughter, Frankie. She’s a phenomenal mother.”
Moore added that he and Dizon are “loving friends.” The “Criminal Minds” star explained that he and Dizon are going to co-parent their daughter moving forward.
“We’re going to co-parent, and we’re going to go to ballet, soccer, basketball, Disneyland, the water park, whatever — we’re going to do all that because it’s not about anything but the children,” he said.
“We’re just going to live life a little differently,” he added.
Along with Frankie, Dizon is also a mom to two older kids, Kaiden and Charli, from previous relationships.
Dizon shared a statement about the breakup to her Instagram account.
“Although our reality has changed, what will ALWAYS remain is the love and respect Shemar and i both have for each other,” she said. “‘Til God calls our name.’ Our commitment is not only to keep our love for each other alive and strong through the best friendship, but by also being the BEST co-parents in continuing to raise our daughter, Frankie, and Kaiden and Charli.
“As Shemar said, breakups aren’t easy, ESPECIALLY publicly so we ask that you please continue to give us love and grace as we navigate our new reality and respect our privacy to allow us to heal,” she continued.”
