Zoe Saldaña’s sons are all smiles in rare red carpet appearance
Zoe Saldaña had a lively cheer squad by her side at the 2025 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where she recently received an honor for work in the 2024 film “Emilia Pérez.”
The “Avatar” actor was joined on the red carpet by all three of her sons — 10-year-old twins Cy Arido and Bowie Ezio and 8-year-old Zen Anton Hilario — and husband Marco Perego-Saldaña for the event on Feb. 12.
During the festival, the 46-year-old, recently nominated for an Oscar, was presented with the American Riviera Award for her latest role in the film directed by Jacques Audiard.
Saldaña’s journey into motherhood began with the arrival of Cy and Bow, identical twins born in 2014.
In 2017, she announced on Instagram that she welcomed her third son, Zen.
“Marco and I are elated to share the news of the the birth of our son Zen,” she wrote. “We couldn’t feel more blessed with the new addition to our family.”
Saldaña’s has spoken to TODAY.com about being a mom to three boys and that she “doesn’t feel like” she’s missing out by not having daughters.”
“Our mission is to raise decent, amazing, compassionate men who will then pick partners — whether they’re females or males — that will pick partners and hopefully I’ll get to have the daughters later (as a grandmother),” she told TODAY.com in 2018.
“Now that I have the three boys, I can’t really picture myself with anything else.”
