Beth Behrs is reflecting on her time on The Neighborhood and is “grateful” to CBS for picking up the sitcom for one final season to properly say goodbye, unlike with 2 Broke Girls.

Behrs’ post comes after the eye network renewed the sitcom she co-stars in with Max Greenfield, Tichina Arnold, and Cedric the Entertainer for an eighth and final season.

“Most of my 20s were on 2 Broke Girls, almost all of my 30s were on The Neighborhood and I’ll usher in my 40s as we end our story,” Behrs posted on Instagram.

“Kat Dennings and I never got a goodbye or an end to our 2 Broke Girls story, and I’m just so grateful to CBS for a chance to say goodbye to Gemma the right away.”

Dennings replied to Behrs post, saying, “WOOOO!!! Go Beth!!!!”

Before starring on The Neighborhood, Behrs starred in another CBS sitcom, 2 Broke Girls, alongside Kat Dennings. The series, created by Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings, ran for six seasons and was canceled in 2017. Behrs played the role of Caroline Channing who becomes a waitress after losing her wealth following her father’s imprisonment due to a Ponzi scheme.

On her seven years of staring in The Neighborhood, Behrs noted that they have “been some of the most memorable of my life.”

“We made it through Covid, strikes, elections… and came out stronger,” she added. “Forever grateful to our entire cast and crew. Here’s to the best season yet! Season 8 lets gooooo.”
