Sheryl Crow & LeAnn Rimes Join ‘The Voice’ As Mentors
The Voice has found its latest “mega mentors”.
The NBC music competition series has added Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes to Season 27. The pair will serve as mentors for contestants with Crow joining coaches Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé and Rimes working alongside John Legend and Adam Levine.
Each coach enters the playoffs with five artists per team, helping the artists ahead of their most high-stakes performances yet before the coaches choose two artists from their team to advance to the live shows.
It comes after Season 26 had former coach Jennifer Hudson and Sting as mentors.
Crow and Rimes are the latest stars to be added to this season after Kate Hudson, Coco Jones, Cynthia Erivo and Little Big Town joined as battle advisors.
Crow is a newbie to The Voice universe, while Rimes has been a coach on the UK and Australian versions of the show.
The Voice airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC. Playoffs kick off on April 28.
The show is produced by MGM Television, Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon, and ITV Studios. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer alongside Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher and Barry Poznick.
