Blac Chyna engaged to Derrick Milano after romantic onstage proposal
Angela White, formerly known as Blac Chyna, is officially off the market.
The rapper and model got engaged to her boyfriend, musician Derrick Milano, in a romantic onstage proposal.
Milano shared a video of the moment on his Instagram page along with a sweet message to his new fiancé. In the clip, Milano serenaded White with Mario’s song “Let Me Love You” in front of a crowd at Howard University.
Afterwards, Milano reached into his back pocket and got down on one knee. White accepted the proposal, then embraced her future husband.
Milano also shared a video of the couple dancing to the same song backstage at an event.
The musician penned a thoughtful tribute to White to accompany the video.
“She said YES. Angela Renee White, I can go on and on about how much you mean the world to me & never get tired of it. I’ve found so much peace since we’ve met. & GOD put us in each other’s lives for a reason & for a purpose,” he wrote. “Everyday with you feels everlasting & it is such a blessing to call you my fiancée. I love you so much!”
He went on to reference the name of the song he serenaded her with, writing, “Thank you for letting me love you. & thank you for loving me equally. This is what it’s all about.”
White responded to her fiancé’s post, commenting, “I love you soooo much Derrick. I can’t wait to live this life with you,” with a ring emoji.
The couple’s fans and friends flooded the comments with happy messages.
“That was so dope,” one person wrote with three fire emoji. “congrats.”
“Aweeeee congratulations,” another commented with a red heart emoji. “this is beautiful.”
In September 2023, the couple went Instagram official with their relationship. Shortly afterwards, White opened up to People about her new romance.
“They always say don’t go looking for love, let love find you. In… this case love found us,” White said in a statement. “I know that might sound cliché, but hey, it be like that sometimes.”
White went on to say she and Milano were friends before things turned romantic.
“Being able to be around somebody in your most vulnerable state plays a huge role in a successful relationship,” she said. “Not to mention how important communication is to express to each other feelings, emotions, & honesty.”
