Congratulations to Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen for their engagement
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are engaged!
In a joint post on Instagram, Steinfeld and Allen shared a photo of the Buffalo Bills quarterback down on one knee, proposing to the actor, as the two share a kiss under a flower-studded archway.
The caption read, “11•22•24,” seemingly referring to the date of their engagement.
“LET’S GOOOOOO!!” the official Instagram account for the Buffalo Bills commented.
“OMG, I love you,” tennis pro Serena Williams wrote.
“So gorgeous! Congratulations!!!!” model Hunter McGrady added.
The Bills also shared the couple’s post on the team’s official Facebook page, writing, “Congratulations to Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld on their engagement!!” and adding several red and blue heart emoji.
After about a year of dating rumors, the couple went Instagram official in July in a similarly subtle post. Allen shared a photo of them gazing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and a shot of a woman walking from behind amid a photo slideshow — neglecting to tag Steinfeld.
Steinfeld posted with Allen for the first time on Halloween, sharing a photo of the couple seemingly hosting a circus-themed event. Though she didn’t tag Allen, she shared a picture of napkins that read, “Josh and Hailee’s circus showdown.”
The Oct. 31 post included a shot of the couple dressed in matching ringmaster costumes, and another image of them sharing a kiss hidden behind a top hat.
Prior to the social media posts over the last several months, Steinfeld and Allen were slow to address their relationship publicly.
During a 2023 episode of the “Pardon My Take” podcast, Allen played coy when teased about their connection.
At the time, co-host Dan Katz jokingly asked the NFL quarterback whether he was “a fan of Steinfeld” in a word play of the 90s sitcom “Seinfeld.”
“I don’t know what ‘Steinfeld’ is,” answered Allen. “The show? Big fan.” Later on the show, Allen referenced a “girlfriend.”
Last year, Steinfeld was also pictured shopping with Allen’s mother Lavonne Allen and in March 2024, the “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” star accompanied Allen to his sister’s gender reveal party.
