‘Dancing With the Stars’ says goodbye to one more couple after exhilarating ‘Disney Night’
“Disney Night” on “Dancing With the Stars” was filled with enchanting performances, surprises and another elimination.
The eight remaining couples stepped onto the ballroom during the Oct. 22 episode for two performances that were inspired by Disney classics and characters.
The night kicked off with an opening performance of “Friend Like Me” from “Aladdin,” choreographed by Mandy Moore that included performer Michael James Scott, who stars as Genie in the Broadway musical. Viewers also heard a new song from “Moana 2,” titled “We’re Back,” during the troupe and eliminated pros’ routine.
With the competition heating up, after the eight couples performed their own routines they split into two groups for a chance at extra points.
Team Roar performed “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from “The Lion King” and included team captain Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach, Danny Amendola and Witney Carson, Phaedra Parks and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold. They got a 24/30.
Team Goofs performed “I 2 I” from “A Goofy Movie” and consisted of team captain Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong, and Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber. They received a 27/30.
The team that won was Team Goofs, which added extra points to their individual couples’ scores.
