Jason Kelce teases what he plans to get brother Travis and Taylor Swift for the holidays
Jason Kelce has his work cut out for him when it comes to holiday shopping for his brother and Taylor Swift this year.
During a Nov. 22 appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center, who is expecting his fourth child with his wife Kylie Kelce, was asked about his upcoming plans for the holidays.
The show’s host Jimmy Kimmel asked whether or not he bought separate gifts or a combined couples gift for his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
“It’s tough to shop for people that can have anything that they want,” Jason Kelce said. “You got to go to handmade gifts, something sentimental maybe that is near and dear to them.”
Kimmel inquired further about the sentimental gifts, asking the retired NFL star if he has ever handmade something before.
“I’ve never done it, but I think it would work really well,” Jason Kelce said. “I’ve got something up my sleeve this year. I think a macaroni necklace…it works on me with my kids very well.”
Kimmel joked that if Swift donned a macaroni necklace, her fans would follow suit, to which Jason Kelce added, “Friendship macaroni necklaces, I think we just started a trend.”
Earlier this month, Jason and Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, weighed in on the family’s plans for Thanksgiving during a Nov. 14 appearance on TODAY.
“I am going to be at a football game. Travis is playing the day after Thanksgiving,” she said. “You know, football is always the holidays. Football’s family.”
When asked if Swift would be joining the Kelce family festivities, Donna Kelce replied, “I don’t think so. She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do.”
During his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the “New Heights” co-host also opened up about his new late-night show on ESPN, which is set to debut in January 2025.
“They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce” will run for a limited time for five Saturday mornings during the NFL postseason, beginning Jan. 4, 2025 and running up to the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, 2025. The show will be set in Philadelphia and Jason Kelce told Kimmel that it would be taped in front of a live audience.
As for whether Travis Kelce would make an appearance on his older brother’s late-night show, Jason Kelce said, “He’s probably going to be busy.”
“Hopefully he can’t make it,” he added, showing his support for his brother and the Chiefs as the team tries to go for a three-peat at the Super Bowl.
